my take on natures paradise products...
unexpectedly, I received a package in the mail from nature's paradise containing the pina colada lotion & body mist. I personally do not like coconut, nor do I care for the smell of it, so it's a good thing my mom liked it. unfortunately for me I could smell it all the way across the room, & for quite a while, although I thought it necessary to mention this because usually that gives companies bragging rights.
going by what my mother had to say, the lotion was very thin, but her skin seemed to soak it up nicely. apparently a little goes a long way. she also mentioned dipping her hands in the water & them still coming out soft. she has yet to find a lotion as good as this one. the spray she has yet to use but will in due time. in conclusion...
if you like coconuts you'll go coconuts over these, I promise!
use the promotional code Hypnotic to get 15% off your order! it never expires so use it over & over, & don't be greedy- share it with your friends & family too!

ReplyDeleteWell, life is not just about doing what you like...there are other considerations.
ReplyDeletefmgregory at myway dot com
Short life we try and do all we can so we do have the time to do the things we like. Life is so fast paced now a days we dont have time to do the things we really want to.
ReplyDeleteWe do so many thing we don't like & like so many things we don't do because we get stuck in a pattern. We get caught up in the busyness of life & often its not until something happens that shakes us to the core that we realize what life is really all about and what our priorities are.

I don't know the answer to your question, but it reminds me of something my Grandmother told me that I have never forgotten. She was fairly up in years, health already failing; I was still mid-twenties. She told me that, in the end, what we regret are the things we HAVEN'T done. She had always wished she could travel.

There are many things in life we have to do we don't like at first but then we get to enjoy the rewards later. An example would be playing the piano. We also have to do the things in life that are necessary like work to have the money to enjoy the rewards. Rita Spratlen rj_angel_house@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteWe are programmed as children to follow the social norms of the day. This is one reason we do things we don’t like – because it is expected. We don’t so many of the things we like because they may make other think less of us or the cost of doing it may be more than we’re willing to pay. helenkeeler@comcast.net

ReplyDeleteWe're all part of a system that says we have to do certain things and can't do others....we DO have choices though, but sometime it's easier to go with the status quo
ReplyDeleteI think we do things that we don't like because it brings a reward later on and we appreciate doing the things we love more.
ReplyDeleteI think it's because we don't fully realize that we might not actually get to the "fun" stuff that we keep intending to do later--i.e., that life is too short!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!

Mandatory entry - if life is so short, why do we DO so many things we DON'T LIKE, & LIKE so many things we DON'T DO?
ReplyDeleteI really am not sure but as ive gotten older i think i have matured and dont quite do as many things as i hated doing when i was younger. That being said i still do at times. Usually its because i dont want to upset someone else. I am a pleaser by nature.

ReplyDeleteGood Question... We do things we don't like because of society. For instance you may not like your job. But you have to work to pay the bills. You may not like grocery shopping. But you need food in order to exist.
ReplyDeleteI think the reason some people don't do the things they like is perhaps there isn't as many hours in a day that they wished.

Sometimes we don't have a choice when it comes to doing things we don't want to do. Well, there technically is always a choice. But sometimes both of your only options are unpleasant, so you choose the lesser of the two evils (for example jury duty lol). Or as someone else said, sometimes you just feel obligated, and don't want to let people down.
ReplyDeleteAnd why do we like so many things we don't do? Well, I think that's the reason why we like them so much. If we always got to do the things we liked, we wouldn't value them as much. When they're just out of reach it makes it more special. People always want what they can't have, right? And sometimes we just don't have the means.

There are so many things we do solely out of obligation, and things we don't do because we'd feel guilty if we did. it's all about expectations... balancing living up to our own expectations and living up to other peoples' expectations of us.
ReplyDeletefirst entry
ReplyDeleteif life is so short, why do we DO so many things we DON'T LIKE, & LIKE so many things we DON'T DO?
I think the reason is Because we were taught that way.. when your young your told not to do so many things that you love, because of whatever reason.. and I think that thought stays with some of us.

I think we have to do many things we don't like because they are necessary, like picking up our dog's poop so no one else steps in it, or working more hours than we might like to pay off the bills. And I like a lot of things I don't do because I run out of time or money to do them! Thanks!

I believe it is because of human nature. We make ourselves what we don't want to be to be who we should be.
ReplyDeleteI think we live this way due to societal and familial obligations and pressure. I myself try to NOT live this way. I only honor obligations that make sense for me and do not care what society expects of me. I try to live my life not simply exist.
