BABY is one of those dogs that you take for a walk & she runs out of breath faster than you. basically, she's got her tongue hanging out of her mouth after 5 minutes. but after returning home, a nice big drink of water gives her the refreshment she needs & she's ready to go again for another mile walk. & by that time, I don't like taking her back out again because we never make it very far without having to return home to the water bowl.
I've tried using water bottles, but naturally she doesn't understand the concept & it just ends up in a puddle on the ground. I've also tried taking the water bottle & a bowl with me, but that's just a hassle. so you can imagine my enthusiasm when I came across the water rover online @ doggie couture shop, which seems impossible to find in conventional pet stores.
the water rover is portable, practical & easy to use. it's about 15" long but clips on your waistband making it hands free. the top unscrews so you can fill it up with water & add ice to keep it colder longer. it has a plug where the water wasily flows into the dish & what's not used can be easily returned into the bottle. & the best part, it makes walks with BABY last a lot longer! plus my consciousness can rest in peace as I feel I am properly replenishing my dog.
we have always had a pissing problem with JAKE. we never got him fixed & I'm sure by this time it's too late. I don't know if it's because he has such a small bladder & we don't let him out enough to pee or because he wants to mark his territory everywhere & consistently. we keep a puppy pad on hand at all times in the bathroom inbetween the torlier & shower. but does he use it? once in a great while. do we ever catch him in the act? never, although it's bluntly obvious by the stains that plague the corner of all our furniture.
I was surfing doggie couture shop for some kind of dog diaper when I came across belly bands. I had no idea these even existed, but boy am I excited about these! they wrap around your little prince's waist, covering their wee wee, preventing the piss dilemma, solving the crisis! what's so nice about belly bands is they aren't as awkward for the pet in question than say, wearing a diaper & from my experience, the dog's not trying to get out of it! this product tops the charts.
