The Protein Bakery

It seems like all I eat these days are packaged foods, but up until recently, I never had the pleasure of individually packaged sweets (unless you're counting candy). So it was truly a pleasure to sample a little bit of everything The Protein Bakery has to offer, being various cookies, brownies & blondies.

The Protein Bakery specializes in home-baked, guilt-free & healthy snack alternatives packed with fiber which fills you up, & muscle-building protein. In fact, I'm pretty sure I could taste these (2) important ingredients. It's similar to the type of "meal bars" you eat while on a diet or at the gym, but better.

The portions were large. My hunger was satisfied after eating only half, & I was able to wrap up the other half for later. My favorites were the Chocolate-Chocolate Chip 2 Pack Cookies, Chocolate Chip Brownie, & Black & White Blondie {seen below} because they were loaded with chocolate chips.

Tried & true is The Protein Bakery's "15 Seconds in the Microwave" tip. I can honestly back up the statement that it bring out that "fresh from the oven taste!" There's something about warm sweets & semi-melted morsels that makes me want more.

With flavors like Chocolate Cherry, Trail Mix, Oatmeal Cranberry, Pumpkin Walnut Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, & more, there's something for everyone!

FACTS:
  • All natural with no preservatives.
  • Wheat flour & trans-fat free.
  • High in whey protein & dietary fiber
  • Low in gluten.
  • Baked fresh in small batches.

WHY WHEY PROTEIN??
It's considered an anti-oxidant, & ultimately contributes to weight management. It builds & repairs muscle tissue & skin cells. It stabilizes blood pressure, choloesterol & glucose levels. It prevents blood sugar spikes, & more.

The Protein Bakery donates cookies & brownies on a weekly basis to the City Harvest program in New York. It's always nice to know you're purchasing from a company that cares for those in need, & even nicer to know they do it regardless of their amount of sales!

  33. The Pumpkin Walnut Blondies look amazing. I guess my 'advice' is that I tend to buy season or holiday themed sweets a lot, otherwise, I tend to cook myself.
